This approach is faster and cheaper than traditional methods, letting AI play thousands of different shooting games without extensive training.
It shows how language models can effectively design game-playing strategies that are applicable to a wide range of games.
AVA: Attentive VLM Agent for Mastering StarCraft II (Ma et al.)
This team created AVA, an AI agent that looks at the StarCraft II game screen like a human would, rather than directly accessing the game's code. AVA makes decisions based on visual understanding, stored knowledge, and team coordination without the need for extensive training.

It demonstrates that modern AI can handle complex games with minimal preparation, making it easier and less expensive to create game-playing AI. Tests demonstrated that AVA could perform complex moves in a variety of StarCraft II scenarios.
Gen AI for 3D Object Generation in Augmented Reality (Behravan)
The researchers developed a system that allows anyone to easily create 3D objects in AR. According to the Unity Gaming Report, developer mood toward AI has shifted dramatically, with 79% now favorable (31% extremely, 48% somewhat), 5% anxious, and 17% neutral, in stark contrast to original fears when generative AI first emerged.
